PopCalla, sounds familiar right? It really sounds like Pop Cola.
Pop came from my nickname while Calla from Pinoy band Callalily. They are my favorite band since High school. I still have undying crush to its lead vocalist, Kean Cipriano, who has been a TV and movie actor nowadays.
So I’m now working when I bumped into Kean at Gram’s Diner, ABS-CBN Branch. He is very nice, especially if you would tell him you’re a Callalista! He even invited me to watch their latest gig which I did not attend though.
I just love Callalily, nothing more, nothing less. Sadly, their rhythm guitarist Alden Acosta left the band. All I knew was, he migrated in the U.S., but according to Kean (oh! we talked short but can last in my memory), he’s just in the country.
Kean is also nice to their fans. He always replies to his official Twitter account @keancipriano, and there was a time when he retweeted my tweet to him with regards to Dolly Anne Carvajal‘s article about Callalily and their newest album, Flower Power, in Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI).
I hope nothing but the best for this group. They are now renowned, and their songs are certified chart toppers, especially on Myx Music Channel.
Last June 7, they had a concert with 6Cyclemind, dubbed as ‘Switch.’ Unluckily, I wasn’t able to watch considering it’s at Music Museum, Greenhills only, just a few walks from our house.
I’m sure there will be more concerts for this band and I’m looking forward to watch it LIVE!
